Jamaica
Capt. James Hilton (1710-1757) was born in Scarborough, Yorkshire, son of John Hilton and settled in Jamaica. Through marriage the Seven Oaks Plantation came into the Hilton family. The plantation still exists today and there are many descendants of James living in Jamaica.
