Charles Ackley born 1829 Everingham, Yorkshire, son of William & Mary. Charles moved with his parents to Wayne Co., Michigan in 1834. Charles married 1864 to Englishborn, Amelia Watson, they had 8 children. Charles owned 2 farms.Brabb
Isaac BRABB, born 1794 North Cave, Yks, went to America with his wife and 5 children in 1830, settling in Michigan. He eventually was able to purchase a farm, known as the 'old Brabb farm' where he lived for 20 years, he then moved to Romeo, Macomb Co., where he died in 1876. His wife , Hannah nee Hudson had been born in Yorkshire in 1799 had died in 1872. Isaac was mainly a farmer but also engaged in the purchase and sale of real estate. It is recorded that "Mr. Brabb is a fine type of the thoroughgoing, enterprising, public spirited agriculturist - one of the sort of men who form the substance of American manhood".His brother, George BRABB born 1799 North Cave, with his wife, Elizabeth and son, Thomas, sailed to America in 1831. They landed in Quebec after a voyage of 14 weeks; the ship's crew lost their bearings in a 10 day's fog, and drifted northward until they found themselves among icebergs and whales in great numbers; it was July and August, but it was so far toward the pole that winter wraps were a necessity. George became a farmer in Macomb Co., Michigan. He kept adding to his property until, at the time of his death in 1864, he owned 322 acres of good land. Elizabeth had died in 1835.

Dr. Francis HILL, vetinary surgeon born in Hertfordshire married 1835 Sheffield, Yorkshire to Sarah Watts COOPER born 1804 Sheffield. They emigrated to America in 1840 with 3 children under the age of 4 years of age. They settled in Macomb Co., Michigan where he practiced as a vet. surg. for several decades. Francis and Sarah had 20 grandchildren.Houghton
John Giles HOUGHTON son of Thomas & Mary (Giles) born 1821 at Pocklington, Yorkshire. He emigrated to the US in 1844 and moved to within 5 miles of Detroit. He rented a farm, where he worked for 2 years, then moved to another farm, where he opened a brick yard. He later acquired two more farms and raised stock. He married 3 times and had 15 children, 13 survived to adulthood.Watson Robinson
Watson ROBINSON, farmer born 1813 at Dent, Yorkshire, son of Thomas and Mary. Emigrated to Canada in 1819 with his parents, settling in the county of Peterbro, Ontario. He remained with his parents until adulthood, when his father gave him 100 acres of unimproved land, he lived there until 1849, when he bought a farm in Oxford County, Ontario on which he lived for 12 years. He went to Michigan, USA in the winter of 1861, at the age of 48, and purchased 80 acres of land in Sigel Township under the Homestead Law. He eventually owned 370 acres in Sigel and Verona and had improved 40 acres when the fires of 1881 caused considerable damage. He lost practically everything, however by the Autumn of 1882 he recoverd and retrieved all his losses. In 1833 he had married Elizabeth Livick in Ontario, they had 10 children. He lost his wife and some of his children to a malignant sore throat. Watson married (2) Charlotte Harper in 1866. They had 4 children. He was twice elected Justice of the Peace.
