William HUNTER was born 14 JUL 1844 in Harwood Dale near Scarborough, Yorks. He emigrated with his parents, John & Elizabeth and 6 siblings to Ohio, then the family moved on to Indiana. William settled in Stafford Township where he married widow Drusilla Stafford (Jamieson) and they had 2 sons. William was a brick mason by trade but after 1876 he became involved in milling flour with one of his brothers. Together they owned 200 acres of good land.Wells
William WELLS, born 1861 Rotherham, Yorkshire and son, Leonard born 1891 Carr House, Greasbrough, Yorkshire emigrated to the United States. William naturalised in Cleveland, Ohio in 1916 and Leonard received his citizenship at Wilbur Wright Field in Ohio, 1918.
